• Free credit is given once a month.
• Free credit takes 48 hours to activate and is valid for one month
• Top-up again in the same month and this will generate free credit for the following month

I have bought a new handset - What do I do?

• Call 284 Free from your handset.
• Go online to My Tesco Mobile
• Text the word 'CREDIT' to 28745. (This text is free.)

I have bought a new SIM - What do I do?

• Activate your SIM by making a call
• Just top-up to get your first month's free credit

I am an existing Tesco Mobile customer - How do I opt-in?

You'll need to change tariff to do this contact us by one of the following methods.

• Call 284 Free from your handset.
• Go online to My Tesco Mobile
• Text the word 'CREDIT' to 28745. (This text is free.)

** Call 282 before your first top-up to register for free credit and 5 favourite numbers. Free credit given once a month, takes 48 hours to activate and is valid for 1 month. Flat rate, 5 favourite numbers and free credit is for calls/texts to UK mobiles, 01, 02 and 03 numbers only. Max call costs: 08 - 20ppm/070 personal numbers - 50ppm. Finding out your credit balance

To find out your free credit balance at anytime, text the word 'balance' to 2112.

When you have used up your credit...

We have great low flat rate so when you run out of free credit, calls and texts are still fantastic value. Please check that your handset is not 'locked' to another network - a fee may be payable to that network to unlock your phone.

* Call types excluded from use with the free credit:
International numbers. Any numbers when you're abroad (roaming).
Premium rate numbers (such as the numbers below) - this often includes TV voting lines and downloads.
Calls starting 04, 05, 06, 08, 09, 07744 or 07755, 078225, 079879, 078730, 078931, 079118, 079112, 078930, 078921, 077000, 079245, 079246, 070, 076.
